Chiropractic And Pregnancy

Chiropractic may be able to help with some pregnance issuesThe aim of chiropractic during pregnancy is to promote good spinal alignment and pelvic balance in order to create the best environment for the developing baby to help promote a better birth.

Pregnancy can cause uncomfortable effects for the mother, including changes in posture and weight gain that result in pain in the muscles and joints. Back pain and pelvic pain can also be a problem during pregnancy and can often respond well to chiropractic care.

Regular chiropractic care can also help mothers cope with the stresses and strains that a pregnancy causes on the body during their day to day activities such as sitting at a desk if they are continuing with their occupation or looking after older children which may involve lifting them around.

After the delivery the mother may benefit from chiropractic care to help restore better function of the spine and pelvis.

The baby may also have undergone stresses and strains during the birth, particularly if there were complications, and chiropractic can often be helpful to improve better function.

Vanessa Churchill has undergone training in treating babies and children and as a mother of three children she understands the demands of pregnancy on the mother.  If you would like to have a chat with her about your problem, please give us a call or complete the enquiry here.
